Terms And Conditions for Donations to The Help a Star Foundation
- The Help a Star Foundation strives to raise funds through donations (gifts) and sponsorship that will be used by the foundation to achieve its goals, as described in the vision and mission.
The Help a Star Foundation is registered in the Netherlands with the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce under Chamber of Commerce number 81874278. The Help a Star Foundation is also registered in North Carolina, U.S.A. - The minimum age for making donations to the Help a Star Foundation is 18 years old.
- The Help a Star Foundation is mainly concerned with improving the living conditions of children and young people through sports activities and education. The funds received will be used as much as possible for the primary goals of the Help a Star Foundation. The board will assess in good faith whether it is justified with each expenditure. Costs incurred in the context of the foundation’s objective are permitted.
- Board members do not receive a fee/payment/cost compensation for their work and involvement, this also applies to companies, offices, institutions or companies affiliated with them.
- Only strictly necessary costs can be reimbursed from the donations/funds of the foundation. This includes: mandatory registration costs with authorities, levies and taxes, (negative) interest costs and banking costs, accountant costs (financial annual report, etc.), notary costs, insurance costs, costs for necessary printed matter, marketing/advertising, production/maintenance of websites, costs for necessary legal assistance and in the event of substantial growth of the activities of the foundation, any office and personnel costs and what is related thereto. All at the sole discretion of the Foundation board.
- An approved annual financial report of the foundation is available on request each year.
- The Help a Star Foundation has an ANBI status in the Netherlands and a 501c3 status in the United States of America, which means that donations to the Foundation are tax deductible in those countries.
- The Help a Star Foundation is a Public Benefit Institution and will therefore strictly adhere to the conditions and rules imposed by the tax authorities with regard to ANBI and 501c3.
- The Help a Star Foundation reserves the right to change the foundation’s conditions and objectives.
